Positive Reinforcement
Your dog should look to you for guidance and leadership. If you can achieve this one thing, you will have a well behaved dog that does what you want when you ask, and even if you don’t ask, with happiness.

Build a Solid Foundation
We love our dogs, and want what is best for them. We want fast results that don’t have any kind of fallout. Relationship building and positive reinforcement training along with consistently enforced rules is the best way to achieve any goals you may have. If you build your relationship with your dog, and teach them what you want them to do, they will happily and willingly do what you ask!
Dogs Listen to People for 2 Reasons:
1) They have a strong relationship
2) They are afraid of what you will do
Justin does not use or endorse the use of any aversive tools including e-collars, prong collars, bark collars, citronella collars and choke chains. While these tools may work, if they are used improperly, your dog could severely be damaged mentally and physically. The main reason why these tools work is because the dog is motivated by avoiding the aversive feeling or sound (shock, choke, pinch, annoying sound, spray). Aversive tools can help control a situation but lack the true connection that is needed for you and your dog.

The shock collar and the prong collar are banned in many countries around the world due to the abuse of them. In fact, the only country that regulates the dog training industry, Germany, banned the shock collar and prong collar in 2022.

Is this Training Right for Me?
Justin's training method is ideal for dog lovers, just like you. You don’t just want a robot-dog who listens because they are afraid of making a mistake. You want a dog who is happy to do what you want, when you ask. I bet you want a dog who is friendly and confident in new situations.
Whether you have a new puppy, an adolescent or an adult dog… all dogs can be trained with kindness.
